Case closed for broadway’s “Legally Blonde”

We have heard reports today that Legally Blonde, the broadway show based off of Reese’s 2001 hit movie of the same name, will be closing its doors next month.

The show opened to mixed reviews early last year, but has picked up steam since then, earning itself seven Tony nominations. MTV even got on board with it’s reality show Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods, the winner of which, Bailey Hanks, is currently the lead.

After 595 regular shows played at the Palace Theater, at curtain call on the upcoming Oct 19th performance, it will be lights out for the show.

Fortunately not all is lost. A touring production of Legally Blonde kicked off last night at Rhode Island’s PPAC, and will eventually play in over 35 cities across the country. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to see the stage version of Reese’s hit, now’s your chance.
